Magnet levitation experiment

"Memo Holder" and "Magna Viewer Sheet Clarice"
Use it to conduct a magnet levitation experiment!

Observe the mysterious sight of floating magnets!
Here's a simple experiment you can do using a strong magnet and a clear file. Experience the invisible force of magnetism!

Viewer sheet

What to prepare

① Memo Holder: 6 to 8 pieces
②Clear file
③Scissors
④ Cutter
⑤ Cellophane tape
※Magna Viewer Sheet Clarice
(Even if you don't have one, magnet levitation experiments are still possible.)

Experimental Method

1. Cut the clear file to fit the size of the memo holder you will be using.
*Leave some extra width so that the magnet can move up and down.

2. Place the cut clear file around the stacked magnets and roll it up into a tube.
Once you've finished wrapping, secure it firmly with cellophane tape.

3. Cut off the excess tape to create a cylindrical shape.

4. Remove half of the memo holders stacked inside the tube and turn them upside down.

5. Once you put it back into the tube, insert the ``Magna Viewer Sheet Clarice'' and it's complete.

*If you do not have the Clarice Magna Viewer Sheet, you will not be able to observe the changes in the magnetic field, but you will still be able to experience the repulsive force of magnets.

Observe the mysterious sight of a floating magnet.

When you press a magnet with your finger, it is pushed back by repulsion. Experience magnetic force and magnetic fields!

Check the magnetic field with the Magna Viewer Sheet "Claris"

Experiment 2: Magnet elevator

When the magnetic field changes, the magnet moves up and down?
Let's make an elevator using magnets!

*The color tone of the video has been adjusted to make the color change of Clarice easier to see.

Experiment 3: Can magnetism infect iron? The Mystery of York

Here is another experiment using the "Magnetic Levitation Experiment" craft.senseCormorantdyedOneRun!

  1. Try holding a "viewer sheet" over an iron plate, which changes color in response to magnetic force.
  2. Stick a magnet to the iron plate and then hold the "viewer sheet" over it.

Even when I hold the "viewer sheet" over the iron plate, there is no reaction.
The magnetic field of an iron plate with a magnet attached can be seen using a "viewer sheet."
It's just a sheet of iron, but it becomes magnetic just by attaching a magnet to it!

The polarity is transmitted directly from the pole facing the yoke.

What is a yoke?

A yoke is a general term for soft iron that amplifies the attractive force of a magnet.
The force of a magnet (magnetic field) has the property of spreading throughout space, but by using a yoke, the magnetic field can be concentrated more efficiently and directed in a specific direction, thereby strengthening the adhesive force.
