Axial type probes are more durable than standard type probes (transverse type, included with MG-901) and are suitable for frequently used magnetic flux measurement.In addition, it is most suitable for measuring the magnetic flux of an air-core coil because it detects the magnetic flux density in the direction of the probe axis.

Note) Due to the structure of the axial type probe, there is a gap (air gap) of about 0.5mm between the magnetic flux sensor and the object to be measured.

How To Use

1.
Connect MG-901AXL to Tesla meter.

2.
The axial type probe detects the magnetic flux density in the direction of the arrow (axial direction), so bring the probe into vertical contact with the object to be measured.The displayed value is the measured value.

3.
The center arrow is the position of the sensor.If the point is off, accurate measurement will not be possible.There are 90 scales every 4 degrees on the outer circumference of the tip, so use this as a guide to accurately align the sensor position with the measurement point.

4.
The sensor part at the tip cannot be removed.Never apply force in the direction of the arrow, as it will be damaged and you will not be able to use it.

Note) Since the usage other than the above measurement method is the same as the standard type, please refer to the instruction manual of the Tesla meter main unit.
