Sale of neodymium magnets, ferrite magnets, magnets and permanent magnets

Following the US-China summit held on October 30, 2025, it has been reported that the Chinese government will "suspend" export restrictions on critical minerals, including rare earths, for one year.

In response to this, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce issued an official notice (Announcement 2025 No. 70) on November 7, 2025. This notice clearly states that the implementation of the following six export control measures will be suspended until November 10, 2026.

• Ministry of Commerce and General Administration of Customs Announcements No. 55-58 of 2025 (super-hard materials, rare earth equipment and raw materials, five types of medium and heavy rare earths, lithium battery graphite anode materials)
• Ministry of Commerce Announcement No. 61 and No. 62 of 2025 (Rare Earth Related Technologies and Extraterritorial Application)

In other words, the export restrictions on rare earths announced on October 9th will be suspended for one year.

[Important] Regarding the Chinese government's "Rare Earth Export Restrictions" coming into force on April 4th

Please note that this suspension does not include the export restrictions under the Ministry of Commerce Announcement No. 18 of 2025, which was announced on April 4, 2025, and the export restrictions based on this announcement are still in effect. Therefore, the usual export procedures will continue to be required for the items in question.
